50th Reunion - July 8, 2017 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
This is an exciting year for Foundation School of Church Music. Since its initial year in 1968, the school has focused on learning how to better lead singing, read music, know music, and write music. Founded by Reuel Lemmons, meeting at Hensel Memorial Encampment, the school was directed by Holland L. Boring, Sr. For almost five decades, FSCM has continued a tradition of excellence. Lifelong friends have been made, church leaders trained, beautiful songs have been written and sung.
In celebration of our 50th session, we are having a reunion. It will be held at the site of our school, Twin Oaks Ranch in Buda, Texas, on the day following this year’s school. This year’s school will take place July 2- 7. The reunion will be July 8, from 9 AM to 4 PM. There is a fee of $10 to cover lunch.
We will sing, talk, sing, eat, look at pictures and/or videos (not necessarily in that order). There will be old songbooks, T-shirts, and other items of memorabilia for sale. The money from these will go into a scholarship fund for future students.
