Goals and Objectives of FSCM

The Foundation School of Church Music continues to contribute to better singing in the churches of Christ.  Its first objectives are still in the minds of the current instructors.

• Have better singing in our assemblies, and provide good singing for weddings, funerals, and special occasions.

• Provide training for experienced and inexperienced song leaders.

• Enable potential and current church leaders and teachers so that they can equip their home congregations (in music theory, song leading, voice, special groups).

• Provide training in music theory for beginning through experienced song writers so they are encouraged to write spiritual music.

• Have a lot of fun practicing, learning, and sing praises to our Lord.  Time is provided for practice, learning to select songs for all occasions, and how to use the voice, face, and hands effectively when leading and directing singing.
